In September my boyfriend and I went on a road trip on the west coast of the USA. Usually I write a short guide of our vacations but with this vacation being three weeks and including multiple stops, it was too much to fit in one blog post. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that my boyfriend and I were on holiday for most of September. We always like to plan our main holiday in September, in which we usually go quite far and for a longer period of time. This year’s holiday was a very special one; a three and a half holiday to the west coast of the USA. Today I am sharing everything about our California road trip.
Last weekend was one of the glorious long spring weekends, with amazing weather. Perfect timing because it was also the weekend in which my boyfriend and I headed to Lille with his family. We enjoyed the sunshine, the adorable town, the shops and we even paid a visit to the zoo. Lille isn’t a particularly large city, but it’s very charming, especially the old part. Now I am not planning on turning this into a city guide but I do have a top 5 of things you should do while you are in Lille. Paris is always a good idea, right? That’s why two weekends ago I went there on a quick getaway. We went there Saturday morning with the Thalys and left Sunday evening. It was just a short trip but I left feeling extremely inspired. So here’s a recap of 36 hours in Paris in pictures.
As part of our Italian roadtrip my boyfriend and I decided to pay Florence (also known as Firenze) a visit. Florence wasn’t really on our radar so we went there without any expectations. The only reason why we planned a few days in Florence was the fact that my boyfriend really wanted to eat a bistecca alla fiorentina, or in other words a huge steak from a specific type of cow (not kidding). Sometimes the trips you plan without expectations turn out to be the best ones, because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the amazing food places Florence has to offer.
