First of all, I would like to wish you a happy new year, yes I know that it’s nearly Februari already. I took a short break, but it’s time to get back into the swing of it. I want to start first post of the new year by talking about one of my favorite topics, sustainability. Sustainable living has been high on my radar in 2019. As a result I’ve been invested into making sustainable changes. We often think that living more sustainable means a drastic lifestyle change but there are many small changes you can make, which can make a big difference. Today I am sharing 3 changes that I made this past year.
We all have favorite pieces in our closets, you know those items that you always gravitated to and that always seem to be in the laundry because you wear them so much. This past spring I purchased some items, which have quickly become my most worn items. They are too good not to share, plus you can shop most of these in the sale now.
Sneakers don’t really excite me. I know there are many sneakers addicts but I am just not the person to stand in line for the drop of a new sneaker collection, I prefer boots or sandals. In January however I found myself drawn to the simple design of Veja sneakers and when I found out how sustainable they were, I decided that these sneakers would be a new addition to my spring wardrobe.
Fast fashion has been a hot topic recently. The rate at which we go through clothes seems to be taking a toll on the environment. Now I am not claiming to be an expert on environmental problems nor do I claim to live my life as green as possible and yes I love fashion and buying new clothes. I do however have been trying to make more sustainable fashion choices on my shopping sprees. With these three simple tips I try to make a difference and so can you!
