While working on my blog the other day I realized that it had been a while since I shared a more personal post. Although personal posts are often my favorite post to read, they just never seem to make it onto my content planning. Behind the scenes some exciting things are happening that I really want to share; time for a little update.
Are we moving?
It’s been a year since my boyfriend and I moved into our current apartment and we still love living here. Our current apartment is a rental and although we love the freedom that comes with renting, you often pay more. Moving in together is exciting but it also comes with uncertainties; will everything work out? That’s why renting was the safest option for us at the time. Now that we have been living together for a while, buying a house is becoming an option. We are still at the beginning stages of the process, we don’t even know if we want to go for an apartment or a small house yet, but I enjoy looking at the listings daily. We also want to get a better understanding of what our money can get us. The housing market isn’t ideal at the moment so we aren’t expecting to find anything soon. It is however a lot of fun to view different kind of houses.
What will our next vacation be?
Another things that has been keeping us occupied, is planning our vacation. Every year we go for a long vacation during the summer. Last year we went on an Italian road trip and the year before we paid Indonesia a visit. This year we are heading to the USA, which I am very excited for. I haven’t been there since my semester abroad in North Carolina. I have only been to the east coast before but this time we are heading towards the west coast. It took us quite a while to figure out the right route for us, but I feel like we found a route with a nice mixture of cities, nature and the beach. We have also found some very fun places to stay and even booked a glamping night at the Grand Canyon. I will share my packing tips/ a packing list and plenty of travel content as soon as the vacation gets nearer. We can hardly wait so our patience will be tested.
I hope you enjoyed this little update! What’s been going on in your life lately?
Love, Meryl
