Before I moved to Amsterdam I would enjoy a Sunday brunch every once in a while, but it was only when I moved to Amsterdam, that I discovered that brunch was actually a thing. Everyone seemed to be going to brunch all the time and I have to admit that it quickly made its way into my weekly ritual as well. I mean brunch is one of the best things ever, it’s basically an opportunity to eat breakfast food with your friends but still giving you the opportunity to sleep in for a bit. Today I am sharing 3 of my favorite brunch spots in Amsterdam with you.
PLUK Pluk is het place where you can find me almost every weekend, whether it’s for brunch, a coffee meeting or just to grab a smoothie to go. It’s one of those places that has it all, an amazing interior, a build in shop with the most adorable home accessories & gifts and great food. Some of my favorites include their banana-egg pancakes, their acai bowls, their smoothies and their banana bread as a sweet treat. Pluk is definitely the place to go if your on the hunt for healthy but delicious food and plan on taking a ton of Instagram pictures.
Metropolitain Metropolitain just kept popping up in my Instagram feed, and after I already put it on my list of places to go to on my next visit to Paris, I discovered that it was actually located in Amsterdam. The interior at Metropolitain is amazing with a ton of marble and brick walls, the food is very French and the iced coffee is even served in a mason jar, do I need to say more? If you fancy a little getaway to Paris while staying in Amsterdam, then this is the place to go.
The Breakfast Club The Breakfast Club is the perfect place to go to if you’re a breakfast lover but still like to sleep in on your weekends because they serve breakfast food all day long. Here you can basically find any breakfast food that you’d like, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and a great coffee. I’ve only been the Breakfast Club once but it already made it to my list, because the pancakes I ordered were delicious. Another advantage, there are two locations, meaning that you don’t have to travel too far for your pancakes. :)
What is your favorite place to go for Brunch, where you live?
Love, Meryl
