What your shoe choice says about the men you date?

Whoever said that shoes and men are two unrelated topics, clearly never watched Cinderella. With the perfect pair of shoes she also found her prince charming, quite literally in this case. I personally think that there is more of a correlation between men and shoes than you might think. Both shoes and men come in many different styles and sizes, and just as we can never get enough off shoes, the same goes for men, right? Yes your shoe choice might tell a bit more about the men you swipe right on on Tinder, than you might think.

Your sexy heels. A gorgeous pair of heels is comparable to the handsome player. They give you confidence, make you feel sexy and with them by your side, you will never have a boring night. The disadvantage, wear them too long and the situation gets painful. At the end of the night you will be grateful that you can take your gorgeous but painful heels off, just as you can be sure, that the handsome player, will be gone. It’s a short fairytale and after you’ve convinced your friends you will never fall for a player again, you will also go for a less sexy and more comfortable choice on the shoe front, until the temptation gets too big of course.

Your strappy sandals. The sandals, in which you spend your free days and in which you spend your days dancing at your favorite festivals, resemble the hipster guy. This guy is free spirited, chilled and, just as the strappy sandals, completely on trend at the moment. The only disadvantage, with the hipster guy, you never know where you stand. No matter how tight you tie, the straps of your sandals, there is not guarantee that they will survive the festivals, just as there is no guarantee that you will actually be leaving the festival with this guy.

Your sneakers. Sneakers, we all love them, because they’re just so comfy. Your sneakers will never let you down and are ready for any situation, which makes them resemble, the good guy, who is also really reliable, and adaptable, because good sneakers these day are at least customized right? The disadvantage, well they aren’t the most sexy shoe out there. Your sneakers definitely posses less sex appeal than your heels, just as the good guy is a lot less exciting and maybe even a bit boring compared to the player.

Your heeled ankle boots. Ankle boots can be seen as the best of both worlds. They are comfy, still give you that extra bit of confidence, say yes to longer looking legs, and you can easily walk in them all day. Yes your heeled ankle boots can be compared to Mr. Right, reliable, reasonably exciting and seductive, and he might even bring you breakfast in bed. And most importantly, they also are the best option for the cold rainy weather in the Netherlands.

So we should probably all go on the hunt for the perfect pair of heeled ankle boots, if only we could resist the pull of those gorgeous heels. But you know what they say, you can never have too many pairs of shoes, so why can’t this also be the case with men.
