It’s no secret that the fall season is all about the warm yellow and orange tones in our surroundings. However this year we don’t just have these colors in the backdrop of our pictures, they are also making an appearance in our wardrobe. This post is all about embracing the fall colors and accessories. Be prepared, my love for burnt orange is real this season.
Let’s talk about color
This fall season is all about the neutral colors like cream, beige, brown and black mixed with burnt orange, rusty red and of course we cannot forget about animal prints. I was on the hunt for a burnt orange sweater and found the perfect one at the & Other Stories. It’s very soft and it was quite affordable too. The next burnt orange item that caught my eye was this adorable H&M coat. It was sold out online so I had to hunt in down in stores. Eventually I managed to find one and it’s the perfect statement coat for this season.
The animal print trend wasn’t really something I was too excited about, but when these Zara snakeskin boots (other great option) made an appearance on their website, I was sold. They give your outfit something extra without being to overpowering. Snakeskin bags are also a really great way to get the same effect.
Let’s talk about accessories
On the accessory front there aren’t that many changes this season. The baker boy hat is still here as well as berets. Although on the bag front we see a lot of bucket bags (similar to mine) this seasons, where in the summer they were often rattan or netted styles, the fall ones are often in the darker part of the color spectrum. Let’s hope that these trends continue to the winter season because I am not done with them yet.
What is your favorite fall trend at the moment?
Love, Meryl
