In September my boyfriend and I went on a road trip on the west coast of the USA. Usually I write a short guide of our vacations but with this vacation being three weeks and including multiple stops, it was too much to fit in one blog post. I posted the first week of our California road trip in October and today I’m sharing the next post. I hope you enjoy the second week of our California road trip.
First of all, I would like to wish you a happy new year, yes I know that it’s nearly Februari already. I took a short break, but it’s time to get back into the swing of it. I want to start first post of the new year by talking about one of my favorite topics, sustainability. Sustainable living has been high on my radar in 2019. As a result I’ve been invested into making sustainable changes. We often think that living more sustainable means a drastic lifestyle change but there are many small changes you can make, which can make a big difference. Today I am sharing 3 changes that I made this past year.
As part of our American road trip I booked a variety of locations for us to stay; including hotels, motels, cabins, airbnb’s a tiny house and a night of glamping. We’d never been glamping before but our night at Under Canvas ended up being our favorite part of the trip.
Christmas is right around the corner and I couldn’t be more happy. I’ve been listening to my favorite Christmas playlists since the first of November, to my boyfriend’ dismay, and secretly want to put the Christmas tree up already. It’s also the time of the year where I start to make lists of potential gifts for friends and family and that’s where Black Friday comes along. Now I feel a bit conflicted this year about Black Friday. On the one hand I focus on sustainability and know that discounts and sustainability don’t go hand in hand. We always like to plan our main holiday in September, in which we usually go quite far and for a longer period of time.
